African Dope Records is an independent label from Cape Town, South Africa, releasing fresh beats and breaks by artists from Cape Town since April 2000. It is the brainchild of Cape Town beats n breaks DJ/producer team Krushed & Sorted, who started and run the label from its HQ in the centre of Cape Town.

AIRCO, The Association of Independent Record Companies is a non profit national industry association, proactively serving and representing the interests and development of South African independent companies across South Africa and the world.

AIRCO members are record companies and labels across the full spectrum of music genres, ranging from small sole traders to some of the biggest independent operators in the country. 

Authentic Ideas has been working in the live entertainment industry since 1995. During this time, the company has grown from a two man partnership to the largest rock promoter in SA, with the largest South African talent agency.
There are several divisions within the company which despite the fact that they are entirely separate entities with entirely different staffing structures, they work hand in hand to provide a holistic service.

BlooRoom Studios is Jo Ellis’s project recording studio. This is where he produces all of The Jo Ellis Band’s recordings, as well as many other projects for other artists (see “Selected Past Projects” in "Sounds Like"-section) when he is not busy working with the band.

Jo has been active in the recording industry, both locally and internationally, since 1999. He is a highly skilled producer/engineer and has a great passion for the art of recording. He strives to harness this passion by helping other artists in supplying them with an affordable, high-quality service. Many of Jo’s recordings have received high critical acclaim as well as frequent airplay on both radio and TV.
